What’s going wrong:

  • The clubhead is not approaching the ball on a square path and the face is too open.
  • Your arms and hips are not synchronized.
  • Your rhythm is off

How to fix it:

  • Make sure your shoulders are parallel to the tag line!  (you can use a club to assist you visually)
  • Square up the clubface by placing the ball farther forward in your stance
  • Swing smoothly not hard! Focus on rhythm

Drills:

  • Bring your feet together about 10 inches (this stabilizes your body and allows your arms to do the work)

  • Align the toe of your right foot with the arch of the left foot.  This controls your hips and slows your swing to maintain rhythm.
